Biotech Startup School @ KU

Biotech Startup School @ KU

The 2019 Biotech Startup School has ended.

If you are interested in joining the 2020 course, email Tamala Bramlett (tamala.bramlett@ku.edu).

Startup School @ KU was developed for aspiring faculty, staff, student entrepreneurs, and early-stage ventures based on KU technology designed to accelerate the startup process and increase chances of success. Biotech Startup School @ KU provides the information needed to learn the basics of starting a biotech company. All entrepreneurs in the area are invited to come, no University of Kansas affiliation needed.

You will participate in an interactive, flipped classroom experience for six weeks. Each two-hour session includes a lecture that builds on the pre-reading suggestions as well as the ability to network with other entrepreneurs.

  • Six, 2-hour evening sessions that include lectures and classroom presentations.
  • Complimentary dinner is provided to participants.

You are welcome to interact with the curriculum of past events. The slide decks, prereading assignments and recordings of the sessions are here:
